The View, our light-filled 100-seater restaurant, is a place to pause, unwind and enjoy the beauty around you. One side opens onto sweeping views of Rutland Water and the hills beyond; the other looks onto our tranquil courtyard, scented with rosemary, wisteria and jasmine in summer, and brightened by berried evergreens and spruce in winter.

Inside, the vaulted cedar ceiling, rustic stone fireplace and gentle greenery – including our much-loved central olive tree – create a warm, inviting space. Find a cosy corner by the fire or gather with friends at one of our larger tables. We also have a small number of dog-friendly tables (subject to availability), complete with comfy beds and water bowls for four-legged guests.

Our menu offers breakfast, brunch and lunch, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes thoughtfully prepared. Everything is made to order using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. And if all you fancy is a coffee and something sweet, our on-site bakery provides a delicious selection of cakes, pastries and scones to the restaurant throughout the day.

We’re open 9.00am–5.00pm Monday to Saturday and 9.30am–4.00pm on Sundays.
Last food orders are taken one hour before closing, with drinks available for a further 30 minutes.

RESTAURANT BOOKINGS

We’re unable to take reservations for groups smaller than eight. For parties of eight or more, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice by emailing theview@rutlandnursery.co.uk.

PAGER SYSTEM

Because we’re lucky enough to be a popular spot, there may be moments when we can’t seat you straight away. Our simple pager system lets you wander, browse the nursery or soak up some sunshine in the courtyard while you wait. When your table is ready, your pager will gently light up and vibrate to welcome you back.
